Storm Song

Drip, drip

Small drops of water raining down

The wind blows

The villages make no sound

Faster, faster

Comes the rain and wind

Thunder booms

And lightning flashes 

The storm rages,

Fire and ice

Lightning burning

And water quenching

The trees bow down

Or are blown away

The storm reaches its peak for the day

Lightning comes few and fewer in between

Thunder is heard farther away

The rain still pours,

But the little children come out to play

The sun peaks out

From its veil of clouds

A rainbow hangs

Shining in the sky

The rain slows down

As the flowers bloom

The storm is over.
