TICK TOCK

Page history last edited by Ava Knight 14 years, 1 month ago

Tick Tock, Tick Tock

Look around what do you see?

Nothing, that is the answer

Nothing at all can you see

You're running by it all,

hoping it will all disappear

sorry to end that hope

but teh problems stop here

Tick tock, Tick tock

Who cared the color of your new dress?

Meanwhile people lie in distress.

why don't we don't we do something,

why can't we see

everyone passes it along

one day it will all be gone

Tick tock, tick tock,

our life is an hourglass,

glued to one side

the grains of sand go one by one

how much do we have left of time?

We can't just hope and pray

that may work, but not today

It's time to take action

don't fiddle and wait!

This is what we're meant to do

we must pull our own weight

For shame! For shame!

We lie back and rest

didn't i tell you, so many are in distress!

Time to fight,

before time is gone

Tick Tock

Tick Tock

Where has time gone?

We're running this race

they say we can't possibly win

Stand back and watch, i say

learn this lesson from within

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick

tock.

Gone.

sand on the wind

a dot in the galaxies

feel the universal dance

listen to the music of harmony

theres a lot of bad,

but there's so much good

that bad grows faster, corrupting,

taking over

but ultimitley, the good will triumph.

its up to us to decide how-

in oblivion, or in peace?

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

tick tock

Run.

Tick

Fly.

Tock.

Goodbye.

poor vw
i really, really like this poem
maybe i;ll use it 4 free verse
but then i'd have to explain to mrs. jones nad the rest of the administration that, no, i am not suicidal, no, i am not depressed.(though that one is up for discussion at this point) and no, i am in fact sane and will not die like other famous, depresses, suicidal poets. (ditto)

There is a difference between writing twisted tales because you are depressed and on drugs and being honest. A, your work is honest. You show life's hurt and joy side by side, without veils that hide anything sad or ugly. It's what makes your work so meaningful. You are a great writer because you're not afraid of the truth.
