Common Arguments Under Stress

Some say poetry must rhyme

But I disagree

Some say it must be romantic

Blushingly disagree

Some say longwinded

Not necessarily

Some say it must be old

Yet no writing is as timeless and free

Some say it should be held inside

Never allowed to be

I say poetry is what you write

When if you hold it in you'll burst

When all you have

A hope, a song, a dream, a nothing

Begs to take shape

Some say poetry is dull

But I disagree
